ABOUT SENAD
Senad is graphic designer, marketer and professional branding expert in the Greater Fairfield County area of CT. He has 7+ years in the field of corporate marketing communications and branding. Throughout his professional experience, he has done creative work & design for several advertising agencies in CT, local universities and major non-profit organizations such as AmeriCares, IICONN and The Kennedy Center. His strong creative skills range in project idealization & conceptualization, strategic project management, branding / identity systems, print related graphic design, video and media production, UX / UI design, web design for social media and on screen graphic design for mobile devices, tablets and presentations. He has worked at big name fortune 500 companies such as MNI of Time Inc. in New York City & Stamford, CT and Sun Products as a graphic designer and consultant where he helped to redesign the organization’s branding, presentation collateral and internal & external communications with his creative colleagues.
Senad’s most significant role wast at a CT-based NGO called Save the Children Federation in Fairfield, CT where he was a senior graphic designer that worked on implementing the organization’s new global branding throughout its various global country offices and project managed creative services with his colleagues. He worked closely with his team to craft world class communications materials for Save the Children’s various departments, corporate partners, and emergency response needs throughout the world during crises. His design work and infographics, that he has worked on with his team, have been published and viewed on various online news outlets, TV, social media, the New York Times and were featured in the Wall Street Journal during emergency fundraising efforts for supporting the Syria Refugee crisis and the recent earthquake in Nepal.
Senad’s professional affiliations include The Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce (BRCC) and THRIVE Bridgeport, which is a local board of young professionals in the greater Bridgeport area. He has been serving as a member of their marketing committee since 2016 providing insight and creative services. Senad is also a member of the University of Bridgeport’s Alumni Board where he is greatly involved in developing marketing and communication materials for the university as well as a strong influencer of the community and athletic events in the area.
Giving Back and Social Responsibility:
In addition to being a successful creative professional in his field, Senad is also a strong volunteer in his community that participates in local fundraising events as an avid runner and OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) athlete. His latest fundraiser was for Team Save the Children where he ran the 2015 NYC TCS Marathon in November 2015 and raised about $2,000 of undesignated funding for his charity. In addition to that, he worked closely with the University of Bridgeport’s Swim Team and local Syrian communities in late 2014 to help bring awareness and fundraising to the humanitarian crises unfolding in the Middle East and Europe as a result of the war in Syria. His efforts with his peers helped to raise thousands of dollars for the cause. Senad also participates in local career services where undergrad students in Southern CT Universities shadow him and his marketing team to help gain experience in their fields of study. He also works with young college students and high school youth by providing mentoring services for them in his time after work.
Senad is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport’s Shintaro Akatsu School of Design (SASD). He holds a BFA in Graphic Design / Marketing Communications, which he received in 2011. Senad also holds an MPS (Masters in Business Practices) Degree in Design Management, which he received in 2013.
